  • rare form of NHL, generally classified as DLBCL
  • 2.2% of all CNS tumors
  • can be AIDS related

MR spectroscopy: choline elevated
A/P
  • Diagnosis w/ needle biopsy
  • Treatment:
    • HD-MTX induction chemo
    • steroids
    • PCV (procarbazine and vincristine) has been shown to improve disease control too
    • Whole brain radiation (36-45 Gy) can also be used
  • Counsel
    • prognosis worse in AIDS-related
